Some aspects of the cosmological dynamics in Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet gravity

چکیده
We study some aspects of dynamical compactification scenario where stabilization extra dimensions occurs due to the presence Gauss–Bonnet term and nonzero spatial curvature. In framework model under consideration, there exists two-stages evolution a Universe: in first stage, space evolves from totally anisotropic state with three-dimensional (corresponding our “real” world) expanding [Formula: see text]-dimensional contracting isotropic subspaces; on second constant curvature begins play role provide dimensions. It is already known that such realizable when negative. Here we show range coupling constants for which exponential solutions subspaces are stable located zone positively curved unstable, so two-stage analogous one described above not realizable. Also “nearly-Friedmann” regime case arbitrary describe new parametrization general solution consideration elegant way describing areas existence over parameters space.

Some aspects of holographic W-gravity
We use the Chern-Simons formulation of higher spin theories in three dimensions to study aspects of holographic W-gravity. Concepts which were useful in studies of pure bulk gravity theories, such as the Fefferman-Graham gauge and the residual gauge transformations, which induce Weyl transformations in the boundary theory and their higher spin generalizations, are reformulated in the Chern-Simo...

We describe the construction of quantum gravity, i.e. of a theory of self-interacting massless spin-2 quantum gauge fields, the ‘gravitons’, on flat space-time, in the framework of causal perturbation theory. متن کاملThe Dynamic Cosmological Term Λ: Some Aspects of Phenomenological Models
Choosing a phenomenological model of Λ, viz. Λ ∼ Ḣ, it has been shown that this model of Λ is equivalent to other three types of Λ, Λ ∼ (ȧ/a)2, Λ ∼ ä/a and Λ ∼ ρ. Through an indirect approach, it has also been possible to put a limit on the deceleration parameter q. It has been shown that if q becomes less than −1, then this model can predict about the presence of phantom energy.
متن کاملThe Dynamics Driving Cosmological Acceleration: Dark Energy or Modified Gravity?
This phenomenological review stresses the distinction between kinematics), the description of the recently inflationary universe (cosmography), and dynamics, the mechanism driving this accelerating expansion. Because the homogeneous expansion history H(z) of the universe measures only kinematic variables, it cannot fix the underlying dynamics: cosmographic measurements of the homogeneous univer...
